Brandon dressed up for the first time this Halloween. I was surprised he wasn't more fidgety in it,but maybe he liked being a pirate :)

Brandon's 2nd Annual Trip to Monterey

So to say that I have been consumed with the Dodgers would be an understatement. Now that we have won the NL West and have a couple of days off, I thought it would be nice if I updated with another post.

We went to Monterey a couple of weekends ago and Brandon had a blast. It was nice for him this year because I think he could take in more of what he was seeing and enjoy it rather than just stare. He loved the otters (who doesn't), the ocean, and the fish.

Here are some photos from last year and this year for comparison (& yes, Ray just happens to be wearing the same shirt). Enjoy!!!!

We tried to get Brandon to pose in some Fuzzy Green Monster clothing (www.fuzzygreenmonster.com) this past weekend with some limited success. He didn't want to take photos cause he wanted to go on the playground and throw little wood chips everywhere. Luckily Peter thought we got some good shots between the two cameras we had.

This post got really delayed because Blogger wouldn't post my photos for some reason. I tried for weeks to load them.

So before Brandon got all sick that one week, he came over to Desperate Housewives to help us out a little.

We love taking Brandon to Dodger games and watching him react with everyone else in the stands. He loves being outside and watching all the people. It is hilarious when he claps when the opposing team does something good or when one of the Dodgers gets out.

Are we setting him up though by making him a fan of a team that frustrates and disappoints? Perhaps, but in order to feel the euphoria that comes when the Dodgers are on fire, we have to live through the tough times. Talk about bleeding blue....

It looks like the Dodgers are day-today right now, but as Vin says, aren't we all?

Yeah yeah yeah I know it took forever for me to post this. We took a trip down to San Diego back on June 19 & 20 and was lucky enough to get to stay with our friend Mike.

Brandon loved the animals and would wave to each of them and not want to leave the exhibit. He enjoyed the furrier and cuddlier animals more I think.

Sorry about the delay in new posts since the Florida trip. I have been spending a wonderful 6 weeks at home with baby Brandon and have not had a chance to post new photos. We slept in, played with his toys, and took lovely strolls into town.

Unfortunately I am back at work now...but now I have some time to add some posts haha.

I will be back-dating some posts so that you have an idea of when we took trips, etc. Please make sure to look below this post to make sure you didn't miss a new post.

Hopefully it will be not too confusing for everyone :)

Dodger Game

Went to Brandon's 3rd game (2nd this season) and had a good time sitting in Lower Reserve seats with Bob, Josh & Susan. Good to know that Brandon can deal with sitting next to crazy drunk people :)

Brandon's Adventure in Florida

Brandon had his first big trip and went to Florida to visit Daniel in Orlando & Alex in Miami. They were great hosts and we can't thank them enough.

He did very well on his first plan rides (no pictures of us at the first airport as I accidentally deleted them - boo)and slept for most of each flight. In fact, he was pretty good throughout the trip (some meals excluded) till we started riding in the car way too much for his liking.

Oh and he started really walking this vacation. It was like Brandon felt confident and brave now that he was on this big trip & decided to run around and explore!

Brandon's 1st Birthday Party

Brandon had his very first birthday party this past Saturday and had a lot of fun. It was at Grandpa & Grandma's house in the backyard. We got a bunch of tables and chairs and set the tent up for the food area. Brandon was also sleepy since he was too excited to take a nap so you can tell that he is drowsy in all of his pics hehe.

Brandon Turns One!

It has been exactly one year since our little Brandon was brought into this world. It is certainly hard to believe that one year has already passed is it not? It has definitely been the most challenging, yet rewarding year of our lives, that is for sure. Here are a few pictures documenting Brandon's first journey around the sun.

A Day at the Races

We all went to the Santa Anita Race Track this past weekend and had a lot of fun watching the horses.

Ray's co-worker Pei was there with her family and baby.

One of the ponies in the kids' riding area came right up to Brandon and nuzzled his hand. We didn't even notice till some strangers called out "watch the baby!" He was fine though and kept pointing at it hehe.

Brandon Calls 911

So... last night was interesting... I was in bed (early as usual) and my cell phone started to ring. The caller ID showed a local number, but not one I recognized. I mulled over whether to answer it for a few seconds, but finally did. The conversation went something like this:

Me: Hello?
Them: This is the City Police Department. Where are you located?
Me: Uhh.. umm.. my home..
Them: Where exactly?
Me: Uhh.. [Address redacted]
Them: Sir, we had a record of your cell-phone calling 911.
Me: Huh? That's impossible, my phone is right next to me and I've been sleeping..
Them: Well, we're having an officer respond. Can you please meet them outside?
Me: Ok...

So, I wander outside in my pajamas and tell Valerie what happened. That is when she told me that apparently Brandon had been playing with my old deactivated cell phone and somehow not only turned it on, but also called 911 on it. She saw what he did and tried to end the call, but as you can see it was too late. Apparently, you can still call 911 on deactivated phones and they must maintain the record of the last phone number that was activated on it.

Anyway, I went to meet the officers out front (they did not seem able/willing to find the apartment - not comforting) and sheepishly told them what happened. One of them did not seem to be the least bit interested (he was picking at his hands or something), but the other guy at least asked if everything was ok. I assured them that everything was fine, apologized for the inconvenience and bid them a good night.

So, I went upstairs and back to bed - thankful that someone at the city's emergency dispatch will actually receive our 911 cell phone calls, but just a bit apprehensive about who they send. But hey, at least I know that Brandon will call for help if we ever need it.
