Earthquake predictor?

You know how they have said that animals act oddly before natural disasters? Well Brandon was acting a little odd for him before the earthquake yesterday. He seemed anxious and distracted. Of course maybe he was just restless like babies are sometimes. We just want to think that he has superpowers :)

Also, looks like Brandon is starting to understand the joys of splashing in his bath water. He kept kicking water water around and smiling last night. Ray got all wet. Such a cute little baby!!!!

Congratulations Charlene & Anuj!

The family had quite a day out on Saturday. After mommy and Liz came home from playing a wedding door game at Charlene's house, the whole family (& Liz) packed up and we headed down towards the OC for Charlene and Anuj's wedding.

The first stop before the wedding was lunch with Miloni in Cerritos. Miloni and her mom got to meet Brandon and they were nice enough to provide us all with lunch at the house. Liz was nice enough to take photos of the family after we got dressed at Miloni's house. She also got some of Brandon flinging around while Miloni held him hehe.
On a side note, this is the second time Liz has seen Brandon and she was with us all day but guess what? I don't have ONE photo of them together. Crazy.........

Anyways our day continued in Santa Ana for Charlene & Anuj's wedding. We got to watch the Baraat and then worked our way to the ceremony. It was the first time we had been to a Hindu wedding and it was very interesting. Brandon got to meet Debbie, Alvin and Steve too - I think he took a liking to all of them even with Alvin's potty mouth.
We had a great day and didn't leave for home till after 11pm. Brandon couldn't wait to get back to his crib and fell asleep in the hotel room we were hanging out in.

Congrats to Charlene & Anuj once again & thanks for letting us celebrate with you both!!

Brandon Enjoys His New Blanket

Brandon got to enjoy and get to know a new blanket made with love by David Grossman's mom, Lydia. She put his initials on it and knitted all sorts of trucks and other vehicles. Such a cute blanket by such a cute lady!

Mr. Mom

So, today was my first day taking care of Brandon alone. Valerie went back to work this week and today is my day off, so I get to take care of him all on my own. I think it went pretty well actually. I'm already well-versed in bottle feeding and diaper changing so it really was a matter of doing it longer and without any help. Kind of like going from running the 1600m to running a marathon. Ok, maybe not that big of a jump.. Anyway, we had a lot fun hanging out together- we even took a walk to the market together (he likes to look at all the different products). Definitely looking forward to all my future Fridays with Brandon.

Dodgers & Angels

Brandon thinks that Dodgers and Angels can be friends. Kind of like Juan Pierre and Chone Figgins. Doesn't Brandon look like Pierre with his large cap? hehe.

Brandon's first pool experience

Brandon got to spend time at his first pool get-together on Sunday. The water and the weather was perfect and we think he had a pretty good time.

You be the judge. (Thanks to Susan for the pics!)

Descanso Gardens

We took lil Brandon to the Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge last Friday when Ray had his day off. I think he liked looking around even though it was so sunny. There were lots of mommies with their kids there, but I think were they only ones pushing our stroller off the paved road. Wasn't so easy, but we got to see more things this way.

We went through the rose garden (which is probably the best part of the place)

and the Japanese garden/pond area.

We sat by the muddy lake and looked at muddy turtles.

Brandon was very tired by the end.
