Baby Registries

By popular demand, here are our registries for the baby:

(Also available in-store)

We made sure a lot of the stuff is available at the Target stores so that no one has to worry about shipping, etc.

Please include a gift receipt with your gift. This is in case we get doubles on gifts or there are product defects. Target has told us that they will not do exchanges or even give store credit without a receipt. We would hate to have people spend money on something defective and then not be able to exchange or return it.

Please also refrain from purchasing toys/stuffed animals. We know it is hard because baby toys are so darn cute, but we are trying not to have too many. Thanks :)

Our Active Lil Baby

Went to yet another doctor's visit Wednesday. This was the first one without Ray and the doctor came in, looked around and said, "Where is your husband." Hehe I guess she was surprised he wasn't there to take video and pictures.

This was a pretty fast visit and she used the fetal heart monitor to hear the baby's heart. It is so amazing to hear this little being in my body with this whooshing heart :)

Did some blood work too to make sure I haven't been having too much sugar and wasn't anemic. Sugar came back fine but it looks like I am a little anemic because the blood is going to the baby. Have to take iron supplements in addition to the iron already in my prenatal vitamins. Fun.

This is also the week that I started counting fetal movements. Every day I have to sit and time how long it takes for the baby to move 10 times. If I don't feel 10 movements in an hour then they say to go to the hospital. So far he has been averaging about 10 minutes or less so I am not worried at all. If anything, he is waaaaaay active. He kicks me about every other second when I am trying to sleep.

Our baby is very very active. Ray & I hope he won't be a wild child hehe.

The baby is growing!

Ok, I know we haven't posted in awhile. Sorry! Not much is happening besides the baby getting bigger and bigger. I think he's doubled in size in the last month. He should be about 10 inches long now!

Anyway, at the last prenatal visit, I got to play with the ultrasound machine. The doctor had to take a phone call in the middle of the exam and she said I could use it if I wanted to. So, I did and it was great fun! I wasn't very good at it, but it was neat being able to move it around myself and see the baby from different angles.

Also, a few days ago I tried to listen to the baby's heartbeat using the stephoscope from my old EMT days. I don't think the baby liked it very much though. The instant I put it on Valerie's tummy, he started to hit it repeatedly. Maybe I should have warmed it up first.. It is very cool to feel him moving around in there though. Sometimes I feel around for him and tap and he taps back. Very cool! Valerie says it feels weird and she doesn't like it though. :)
