Our baby has a strong heart!

We went to our monthly doctor's visit yesterday. It was a pretty fast visit but we did get to hear the little baby's heartbeat. It was 115 beats/minute! The whooshing noise was soooo fast and the doctor said that the baby sounded very healthy. Made me feel like a happy mommy and that all the sickness I have been feeling worth it. Of course it also turned out that I have a fever which explains why I have been feeling worse than usual. It is a pretty mild fever so hopefully it will subside soon. I also can't wait till my "morning sickness" goes away. It should get better in the next couple of weeks - I hope I am not one of those women that have sickness a lot longer than usual. One of my co-workers said that her mom was sick the whole time she was pregnant and that when she went into labor, she didn't realize it because she thought she was just having sickness. WOW - probably not the best story to tell a pregnant lady, but I think chances are I won't have it that bad. Hmmmm did I just jinx myself?

Okay... I lost count already... My three brain cells can't do this complicated math... how many weeks is the little one? His/her liver starts to make his/her blood cells at 8 weeks. Hehe... I'm using your lil one to help me remember medical facts because thinking of Val with a little one who has an even littler liver that is making teeny tiny blood cells is a lot more fun than reading out of a textbook. =D
